This one's titled, "Bandit Patrol" and in Thom's words, "In 1967 Pontiac's Pony Car, the Firebird, was introduced and became an instant success. It's first generation classic coke-bottle design was replaced with a new sleek swooping body and later enhanced by a slant nose in the mid 70's known as the "Bandit" years. While other manufacturers reduce the size of their engines, due to the gas crisis, Pontiac kept the largest motor it could under the hood. One notorious bad boy was the legendary 455 HO putting out huge torque. Unfortunately, Pontiac terminated its sporty pony ride in 2002 after holding true to the vision it started decades before."
Based of the "Smokey and the Bandit" movie of the 70's and 80's, I tried to make a fun piece incorporating all those great years. I wanted to create a scene that would embody the movie and the car that made it famous, a Special Edition Black and Gold Trans Am! I wanted something a little different so my sheriff's car is also a "Bandit Patrol" car! How's that saying go... "It takes one to catch one"?
